The BW1500-DD48-220 is a robust industrial DC/DC converter in a 2U 19-inch rack enclosure. This converter can convert a DC voltage from 220V to 48V.
Converter from 220 to 48 Volts
The converter supplies 48V with a power of 1440W. When more power is required several units, up to 8 units, can be connected in parallel to increase the output power.
The DC/DC converter has a wide input range of 180V – 270V DC. The output voltage can be set on the front panel between 43V and 57.6V.
UPS function
Optionally, the converter can also be equipped with a battery function, the model number of this version is BW1500-DD48-220-C.
A battery can be connected to the BW1500-DD48-220-C and kept under load by the converter. This creates a simple DC-UPS.
Protection
The DC/DC converter is protected against short-circuit, overload, excessive output voltage and excessive internal temperature. The status of the converter is indicated on the front panel by two LEDs.
The converter is also equipped with 4 potential-free alarm contacts for feedback.

With an inductive application (electric motor, compressor, pump, etc), you must take into account a higher starting current. In this case, we therefore strongly recommend buying an inverter that can deliver 3 to 5 times the normal power of the motor.
